Hyderabad heartthrob Sania Mirza crashed out of the
ING VYSYA Hyderabad Open on Tuesday. Though the local lass did well to take the first set from the experienced Nicole Pratt , she eventually lost 4-6, 6-2 , 6-2. “she was overpowering me and enjoying the game in the first set when she put me under a lot of pressure .When I realized she was really enjoying hitting those powerful passing shots on the rise I decided to slow down my game” said Nicole at the post-match briefing.

Defending Champion Tamrine Tanasugarn had an easy victory over Russian Evgenia
Kulikovskaya 6-4, 6-0. “My goal is to concentrate on each match and take the tournament
day by day .I don’t want to think that I am the defending Champion so I should win” said the Thai Champion answering to a question if she was feeling the pressure.

Russian Teenage Sensation Maria Kirlenko defeated Neha uberoi after a tough encounter.
Earlier in the tournament , Neha had defeated her sister Shika to reach the Main Draw of the tournament. Ankita Bhambri of India lost to Marion Bartoli 6-1, 6-1. In a match that lasted just about an hour , the Frenchie ‘s game was clearly superior. A disappointing day for the Indians at court , Tuesday was the elimination day for all the Indian gals in the tournament.The only Indian hope in the tournament would be India’s Sania Mirza partnering Lizel Huber in Doubles , later on Wednesday evening.
